About The Position

Mental Health Technician – Night Shift (GRACE Women’s Unit) Since 1985 The Brook Hospital has been offering hope to individuals, families, and communities. The Brook is the leader in providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services. The Brook – Dupont, located in Louisville, KY, is an 88-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adults. We are currently seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team on the day shift. In this role, you will support the safety, structure, and therapeutic environment of our patients by working closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
No experience required.
Must maintain current CPR certification.
Ability to: gain training through web-based programs; participate in employee surveys; enroll in company benefits.
Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
Must be able to actively participate in a treatment team environment.
Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.

Nice To Haves

Some college preferred.
Direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs safety checks daily and as needed per guidelines
Knows location and condition of all patients at all times
Ensure proper hand off of clinical information
Assists in management of behavior and control of destructive/unsafe behavior per facility guidelines
Other duties as assigned
