About The Position

Atkore is seeking a Maintenance Technician I based in Thomasville, Georgia, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The role maintains and repairs equipment used to manufacture PVC conduit and ensures machinery and mechanical equipment remain safe and operable. The technician completes preventive maintenance on engines, motors, and pneumatic tools, performs basic electrical work and welding, plumbing, pipe fitting, and fabrication duties as needed, and follows safety procedures while promptly reporting potentially unsafe conditions. Within the first three months, the technician is expected to complete required training, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and become familiar with Atkore’s Business System and the role’s importance to daily operations. The stated good-faith estimate of pay is $26.55 per hour. Placement may depend on factors including competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical skill set experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair equipment used to manufacture, package, convey, and store PVC conduit.
Complete required preventive maintenance on engines, motors, and pneumatic tools to ensure machinery and mechanical components are safe and operable.
Perform basic electrical tasks.
Perform welding, plumbing, pipe fitting, and fabrication duties as required.
Follow all safety procedures and immediately report potentially unsafe conditions.
Complete required training within the first three months.
