About The Position

Atkore is hiring a Maintenance Technician I based in Thomasville, Georgia. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role maintains and repairs equipment used to manufacture PVC conduit and ensures machinery and mechanical equipment remain safe and operable. The position pays an estimated $26.55 per hour. Pay placement depends on factors such as competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Other compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives. Within the first three months, the technician is expected to complete required training, develop relationships with key stakeholders, and become familiar with Atkore’s Business System and the role’s importance to daily operations. Benefits are subject to eligibility and vesting requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical skill-set experience.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair equipment used to manufacture, package, convey, and store PVC conduit.
Complete required preventive maintenance on engines, motors, and pneumatic tools to ensure machinery and mechanical components are safe and operable.
Perform basic electrical tasks and welding, plumbing, pipe-fitting, and fabrication duties as required.
Follow safety procedures and immediately report potentially unsafe conditions.
Complete required training and develop relationships with key stakeholders during the first three months.
Become familiar with Atkore’s Business System and the role’s importance to daily operations.
