About The Position

Mental Health Technician (MHT) Opportunity – Variety of Shifts Available - Full Time Only. Full Time qualifies for our $5,000.00 sign-on bonus! Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Our mission is to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance use treatment. Kirkland: Is our main 157-bed, standalone psychiatric hospital, composed of six units providing specialized treatment for mental health and co-occurring disorders for adults and adolescents. The Mental Health Technician (MHT) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to our adolescent patients. Provides the opportunity to grow your career in the mental and behavioral health field by learning de-escalation skills and techniques, gaining an understanding of behaviors, building rapport, and problem solving. Provides group “activities” and assists with milieu management. Mental Health Technician work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Successful completion of CPR, 1st Aid, Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation Certification.
  • May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.
  • Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
