About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Professional to join its team at Valdosta State Prison in Valdosta, Georgia. Centurion provides mental health, dental, and medical services to the Georgia Department of Corrections. The Mental Health Professional provides mental health case management services to patients in a correctional setting and consults with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health care. Services include intake and assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and individual and group therapy.
Requirements
- Master's-level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Must be license eligible.
- Must provide current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
- Must pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years’ experience providing direct care to individuals with mental illness.
