About The Position

Arisa Health is seeking a Mental Health Professional to join its Adult and Child Services department in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The role provides mental health assessment, counseling, and therapy services to individuals and groups. It is a full-time, exempt salaried position reporting to the Program Coordinator, with work hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Arisa Health is a nonprofit behavioral health provider serving 41 Arkansas counties. Its services include outpatient and crisis care, emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children’s and adult services, medical services, and residential services.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling or social work.
• Current Arkansas license: LAC, LPC, LMSW, PLMSW, or LCSW.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a treatment team.
• Experience providing services in a behavioral health organization, or experience with a community mental health or healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess clients for mental health needs.
• Provide individual, family conjoint, and group therapy services.
• Document, review, and maintain accurate case records and relevant clinical information.
• Provide counseling and appraisal services to individuals or groups to help them understand personal problems, define goals, and plan activities.
• Assess individuals’ aptitudes, attitudes, abilities, achievements, interests, and personal characteristics in relation to personal, social, and educational concerns.
