About The Position

This position is with the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services. The Mental Health Professional II will lead Beckman's Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team in providing evidence-based services, throughout Beckman's catchment area, in intensive, non-residential treatment settings and rehabilitative services in accordance with the fidelity model. This Team is a single fixed point of responsibility for treatment, rehabilitation, and support needs for patients with serious mental illness (SMI) who require higher levels of care, as they have not, previously, been well supported in lower level of care options.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.
  • Must be licensed as licensed psychologist, LISW-CP, LPC, or LMFT.
  • Must qualify for credentialing and privileging as a mental health professional and in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and with concurrence by OMH Office of Quality Management.
  • Applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care . This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Current and valid South Carolina Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administrative operations of the team
  • Provide clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the delivery of best and ethical practices
  • Provide direct services to ACT service beneficiaries
  • Ensure services are documented in accordance with SCOMH/QA requirements
  • Provide direct supervision to ACT team members to include but not limited to facilitating clinical supervision meetings, treatment team meetings, coordinating training for team and completing evaluations
