The Mental Health Planner will coordinate mental health promotion and intervention services on behalf of Youth Net/Réseau Ado (YN/RA). YN/RA is a bilingual for-youth-by-youth mental health promotion program of the Mental Health Patient Service Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). YN/RA offers alternative support services for youth. We strive to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health & mental illness through various prevention and intervention activities, as well as through education, research, and advocacy. The Mental Health Planner (MHP) will work closely with the YN/RA core administrative team and front-line team (Youth Facilitators). The MHP is responsible for coordinating and supervising facilitators; coordinating program content, promotion, and recruitment; supporting the YN/RA Clinical Social Worker in conducting the youth intake process; and supporting YN/RA’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) in various advocacy and youth engagement projects. This individual must be highly organized and creative, possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, and have the ability to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., youth, students/volunteers, parents, educators, community partners). Ability to work flexible hours including weekday evenings and occasional weekends.
