About The Position

Brook Lane is seeking a Mental Health Associate to support patients of all ages as part of its psychiatric care teams. The role provides hands-on, compassionate direct care and helps foster a safe, structured, and supportive environment where healing can begin. Associates build therapeutic rapport with patients and families, observe and document patient behavior, respond to patient needs, assist with behavioral interventions, and lead or support therapeutic programming, including Theme of the Day activities. They work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other team members, may support new staff during orientation, and uphold unit rules and organizational policies. Interactions should be age-appropriate, respectful, and culturally sensitive. This is an active, on-site position during scheduled overnight shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Strong communication skills and sound judgment.
Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and grounded in challenging situations.
Basic to moderate computer skills.
Current BLS (CPR) certification or willingness to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a social science.
Prior mental health or human services experience; experience is not required.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
