About The Position

The Part-time Overnight Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through customer engagement and interaction, while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; follows established customer-experience and merchandising practices; accurately processes purchases, returns, and merchandise; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned. The position is located at the TJ Maxx store at 8635 Tualatin Sherwood Road in Tualatin, Oregon. Starting pay is $16.80 to $17.30 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers and follow established customer-experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the company’s merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Work in multiple store areas as needed to support the business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
