About The Position

The Student - Men's Basketball Team Manager is responsible for assisting the coordination of the men's basketball team with daily team operations. This position is open until filled with applications reviewed upon receipt and may close at any time. Cochise College requires a post offer, pre-employment background screening of all employees.

Requirements

• Enrollment at Cochise College with a minimum of six credits per semester and three credits in the summer
• Possess and maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or higher
• Students attending Cochise College on an F-1 Visa require full-time enrollment with a minimum of 12 credits per semester and six credits in the summer
• Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures
• Ability to handle inquiries and problems efficiently and direct to the proper staff member
• Ability to report for work on time and notify the appropriate individual in advance if unable to work
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other department staff, faculty, students and the public
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with athletic trainers to make sure water is brought out to courts to practice
• Organizes team uniforms, assists with gear check-out and check-in processes, assists with gear maintenance, including laundry
• Facilitates warm-ups and practices
• Records statistics during home games and inputs statistics into statistics programs
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
