About The Position

Assists the head coach in the administration and leadership of the Guilford College basketball program by providing coaching and instruction, recruiting and facilitation of training and practice activities. Other duties include but are not limited to responsibilities in the areas of game management as well as summer camps.

Requirements

• A college degree or an equivalent level of education, training and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and teach advanced skills, knowledge, and strategies of the game of basketball.
• Manage NCAA recruiting and compliance procedures.
• Exercise independent discretion and judgment as to the manner and method of teaching.
• Work independently without direct supervision.
• Provide coaching and instruction.
• Recruit student-athletes.
• Facilitate training and practice activities.
• Assist with game management.
• Assist with summer camps.
