About The Position

The MEMS Process and Yield Engineer is responsible for MEMS wafer yield and disposition. The role monitors foundry and test data for yield issues and works with the MEMS wafer foundry and MEMS Test Engineering to maintain high-quality MEMS process control. Responsibilities also include qualifying process changes and ramping new and mature products, as well as ongoing control of MEMS wafer test and foundry process data. Candidates do not need to meet every listed requirement to be qualified.

Requirements

Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a similar technical field.
Experience with statistical analysis and DOE software, such as JMP or Spotfire.
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), yield improvement, and Wafer Probe.
At least 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, including wafer process and wafer defect analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good critical thinking and organizational skills.
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Positive attitude and motivation to learn new skills.

Experience with MEMS processes.
Experience with Wafer Sort.
Experience with OSAT processes.

Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvement in MEMS process and yield with the MEMS Foundry.
Disposition MEMS product material at Test and Foundry.
Qualify process changes and ramp new and mature products.
Work with the MEMS Foundry to design and execute experiments, analyze data, present results, and recommend process changes.
Maintain ongoing process control of MEMS wafer test and foundry process data.
Provide regular updates on process and yield health using statistical analysis and database tools.
