About The Position

The Memory Care Unit Coordinator ensures the Thrive program is implemented daily and facilitated by Life Enrichment Coordinators, Life Enrichment Assistants, and direct care team members. The coordinator provides general oversight of the Courtyard community in cooperation with the Administrator and Health Care Coordinator, working closely with the Life Enrichment team and direct care staff to ensure a functional and appropriate program.

Requirements

At least two years of experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, including at least one year of supervisory experience.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Good judgment, ability to prioritize duties, and effective problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s progression in older adults.
Professional appearance and behavior.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
A passion for working with seniors and a flexible, fun, and energetic personality.

Nice To Haves

Prior background in senior living, social work, recreational therapy, or nursing.

Responsibilities

Ensure the Thrive program is implemented daily.
Facilitate the Thrive program through Life Enrichment Coordinators, Life Enrichment Assistants, and direct care team members.
Provide general oversight of the Courtyard community in cooperation with the Administrator and Health Care Coordinator.
Work closely with the Life Enrichment team and direct care staff to ensure a functional and appropriate program.
