Memory Care Support Partner $18-$23 As Needed (PRN)
About The Position
The Memory Care Support Partner provides empathetic, individualized support to residents in a memory care neighborhood, creating human connection during vulnerable moments and learning each resident’s interests and abilities. The role collaborates on appropriate engagement plans and implements them patiently. It also helps create a supportive daily environment, from preparing dining and activity spaces to preparing residents’ rooms for nighttime routines, and partners with residents throughout their daily lives. The position includes documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is an as-needed (PRN) position at The Castlewood in Nixa, Missouri, paying $18.00–$23.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
- Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Criminal clearance.
Responsibilities
- Create empathetic human connections with residents during vulnerable moments.
- Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and individual qualities; collaborate on engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
- Prepare resident and community spaces for daily activities and routines, including dining areas, the library, and resident rooms.
- Partner with residents to support facets of daily life from waking to bedtime.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
