About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner works in the memory care neighborhood at Crestone in Olathe, Kansas. The role focuses on building empathetic connections with residents, learning about their interests and abilities, and collaborating on engagement plans. The Support Partner helps shape residents’ daily experiences by preparing spaces and supporting routines, partners with residents throughout daily life, documents care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. The position is full-time and scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $18.50–$28.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
• Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
• Have computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
• Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Build empathetic human connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments.
• Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and individual characteristics.
• Collaborate on appropriate resident engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
• Prepare resident and community spaces for daily activities and routines, including dining areas, event spaces, and residents’ rooms.
• Partner with residents to support all facets of daily life, from waking to bedtime.
• Document resident care and changes in condition.
• Assist with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
