About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a part-time Memory Care Support Partner at Barrymore in Kansas City, Missouri. The role focuses on building empathetic connections with residents, learning their interests and abilities, and helping create and carry out appropriate engagement plans. The Support Partner prepares resident and shared spaces for daily activities and routines, partners with residents throughout daily life, and documents care and changes in condition. The role also assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. The schedule is Monday and Sunday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $18.50–$28.25 per hour. The position requires active work involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping, and assisting residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Have computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including after a fall.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments.
Learn residents’ interests and abilities and collaborate on appropriate engagement plans.
Implement engagement strategies patiently.
Prepare dining, activity, and resident spaces for the day and for residents’ routines.
Partner with residents in the facets of daily life, from waking to bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist residents after a fall.
