About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at University Living in Ann Arbor, MI. This part-time role involves creating human connections with residents, observing their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, and setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments. The Memory Care Support Partner will also assist residents with daily life activities, document resident care, and help orient new team members. We are looking for individuals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, can communicate effectively in English, have a positive and energetic attitude, possess basic computer skills, and are physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also requires assisting residents with mobility and ensuring they are criminally cleared.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.
Active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to setting up activity spaces and preparing resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
