About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner at Crestone in Olathe, Kansas, supports residents in a memory care neighborhood by creating compassionate, personal connections and helping residents with daily life. The role includes learning about residents’ interests and abilities, collaborating on and implementing engagement plans, preparing physical spaces for residents’ routines and activities, and partnering with residents throughout the day and night. The position also involves documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time role scheduled Friday and Saturday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $18.50–$28.25 per hour. The work requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping, as well as lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds and assisting residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, including during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents to understand their interests, abilities, and individual identities.
Collaborate on and implement appropriate resident engagement plans and strategies with patience.
Prepare resident and shared spaces for daily routines, meals, activities, and nighttime routines.
Partner with residents to support daily life from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
