Memory Care Aide $18-24.75 7am-3pm (Part Time)
About The Position
Our starting wage for Memory Care Support Partners is: $18.00-$24.75 per hour! Come join our team at Vitalia Active Adult Community Mentor located at 8180 Mentor Hills Dr. Mentor, Ohio 44060! We are looking for someone (like you) to be an Advocate of Empathy, a Patient Observer, a Master of the Mise en Scène, and a Life Partner. This role involves creating human connection with residents, discovering their interests and abilities, setting the stage for a successful day through environmental preparation, and partnering with residents throughout their daily lives. The position also requires excellent documentation of resident care and changes in condition, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents!
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
- Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.

Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are. Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms for breakfast to setting up libraries for events, and preparing resident rooms for their nighttime routine.
- Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
