Memory Care Aide $18-26.25 3p-11p (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at The Boulevard Senior Living in St. Charles, Missouri. This part-time position offers a starting wage of $18.00-$26.25 per hour. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments. You will also be a "Patient Observer," understanding residents' interests and abilities to create engagement plans, and a "Master of the Mise en Scène," responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for meals, events, and resident routines. You will act as a "Life Partner" to residents, assisting them throughout their daily lives from waking to sleep, documenting resident care and changes, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about residents.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, and collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
- Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
