About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for Vitalia Active Adult Community Mentor in Mentor, Ohio. This part-time role focuses on creating human connection with residents, understanding their interests and abilities, and setting the stage for a successful day through environmental preparation. The position involves partnering with residents in daily life activities, documenting care, and assisting with team member orientation. The company manages a collection of senior living communities across 6 states and employs nearly 1,900 people, emphasizing a home-like environment for both residents and team members.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
