About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at The Barrymore in Kansas City, MO. This part-time role focuses on creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments, understanding their interests, and setting the stage for their daily experiences. You will partner with residents throughout their day, from waking to sleep, and be responsible for documenting resident care and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Understand the importance of empathy.
  • Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, including preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
