About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at The Crestone Senior Living in Olathe, Kansas. This part-time role focuses on creating human connection with residents during their vulnerable moments, understanding their interests and abilities, and setting the stage for a successful day through environmental preparation. The role involves partnering with residents throughout their daily lives, documenting care, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods. Arrow Senior Living manages a collection of senior living communities offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care across 7 states and employs nearly 2,500 individuals.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter information about residents.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, and collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, setting up for events, and preparing resident rooms for their nighttime routine.
  • Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
  • Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
