Memory Care Support Partner 11pm-7am $18-22.75 (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Wildwood in Joplin, MO. This full-time position involves providing empathetic care and creating human connections with residents during their most vulnerable moments. The role requires patience in understanding residents' interests and abilities to develop and implement engagement plans. You will be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for various activities and routines, and partnering with residents throughout their daily lives. Excellent documentation of resident care and changes in condition is essential, as is assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to setting up for events and preparing resident rooms for nighttime routines.
- Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
