Memory Care Support Partner 11pm-7am $18-22.75 (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Castlewood. This full-time position involves providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhood. You will be responsible for understanding residents' unique needs, interests, and abilities, and collaborating to create and implement engagement plans. A key aspect of this role is managing the 'mise en scène,' which involves preparing the environment for resident activities and routines, from dining to personal spaces. You will also partner with residents throughout their daily lives, document their care, and assist with orienting new team members to the memory care unit.
Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing the environment for various activities and routines.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
