About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at University Living in Ann Arbor, MI. This part-time role involves providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be responsible for understanding resident needs, developing engagement plans, setting the environment for their daily experiences, and partnering with them throughout their day. This role requires excellent documentation skills and the ability to assist with orienting new team members. Key aspects of the role include being an Advocate of Empathy, a Patient Observer, a Master of the Mise en Scène (setting the stage for resident experiences), and a Life Partner to residents, assisting them from morning to night. You will also be responsible for documenting resident care and changes in condition, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
