About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Kentridge. This part-time role involves providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be responsible for understanding residents' unique needs, interests, and abilities to develop and implement effective engagement plans. A key aspect of this role is 'mise en scène,' which involves preparing the environment to enhance the resident experience, from dining areas to personal living spaces. You will also partner with residents throughout their daily lives, document care, and assist with orienting new team members. We are looking for individuals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, can communicate effectively in English, and have a positive, energetic attitude. Computer skills for documentation and printing are necessary, as is the ability to be active and lift up to 50 pounds. Criminal clearance is also required.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter information about Residents.
Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments through empathy.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, activity spaces, and resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
