About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Vitalia Active Adult Community at Montrose in Copley, Ohio. This PRN position offers a flexible schedule and a starting wage of $18.25 - $27.25 per hour. The role involves being an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connections with residents, being a "Patient Observer" to understand residents' interests and abilities, a "Master of the Mise en Scène" by setting the stage for a successful day through environmental preparation, and a "Life Partner" assisting residents with daily life activities. Responsibilities also include documenting resident care and changes in condition, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Understand residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to setting up activity spaces and preparing resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
