About The Position

Clarendale West End is recruiting a Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate meaningful activities that suit residents’ needs and interests and support their physical, mental, and social well-being. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, with varying hours between 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; weekend work is required. Pay is $20 per hour. The coordinator assists the Director of Life Enrichment with resident activities and special events, leads daily activities, supports community culture and wellness education, and develops engaging programs for a diverse resident population, including people experiencing varying stages of memory loss.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree preferred.
Six months of experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment preferred.
Memory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating resident activities and special events each month, following the community’s Life Enrichment programs: Lifestyles and Health Services, Embrace the World, Ambassador, and Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program.
Promote a healthy community culture for residents and employees.
Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff about disease prevention and management as part of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
Lead daily resident activities according to community standards.
Help prepare and distribute monthly calendars according to community standards.
Plan and execute diverse, engaging programs for residents with varied needs and interests, including newly retired seniors, seniors needing physical assistance, and seniors at varying stages of memory loss.
