About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Homemaker to join our team at The Parkway Senior Living in Blue Springs, Missouri. This full-time position is responsible for creating an inviting, comfortable, and tidy atmosphere in the memory care units, including apartments and common areas. The role also involves assisting with meal preparation and service in a family-style dining setting, ensuring residents have access to snacks and hydration, and engaging residents to provide meaningful experiences. We are looking for a positive, energetic individual who is at least eighteen years old, possesses a high school diploma or equivalent, and can communicate effectively in English. The position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Assistance with resident mobility and post-fall support is also a key part of the role. Candidates must be criminally cleared.

Requirements

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create an inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy atmosphere in memory care apartments and common areas.
  • Prepare and serve family-style dining, guiding residents in setting tables and cleaning up together.
  • Ensure residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day.
  • Engage residents in the Neighborhood to provide meaningful experiences.
  • Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Assist persons after a fall.
