About The Position

The Memory Care Director oversees the day-to-day operation of the Memory Care unit at a senior living community in Broomfield. The role is responsible for compliance with community policies and procedures and applicable state regulations, and for developing, implementing, and maintaining the unit through continuous improvement of services. The Director also develops relationships with residents, families, and the community.

Requirements

• Complete dementia training as required by state regulations.
• At least 3 years of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess a current state-specific driver’s license and an appropriate driving record.
• Obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in assisted living, geriatric nursing, or gerontology and dementia care is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a therapeutic environment for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
• Help provide staff with appropriate training and support for the Memory Care program.
• Coordinate staffing and responsibilities to meet residents’ needs.
• Assure quality of services through continuous quality assurance and improvement programs.
• Provide quality care to address residents’ medical needs.
• Oversee compliance with community policies and procedures and applicable state regulations as they apply to Memory Care.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Memory Care unit and build relationships with residents, families, and the community.
