About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Aide, also known as a Memory Care Support Partner, for a PRN position at The Rushwood Senior Living in Wichita, Kansas. This role focuses on creating human connections with residents, understanding their interests and abilities, and implementing engagement plans with patience. The Memory Care Aide is responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for various activities and routines, partnering with residents throughout their day, and documenting resident care and changes in condition. They will also assist with orienting new team members to the memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing within state of employment.
• At least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about residents.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
• Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
• Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
• Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
• Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
• Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
• Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
