About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connections with residents during their most vulnerable moments. You will be a "Patient Observer," discovering residents' interests and abilities to create appropriate engagement plans. You will also be a "Master of the Mise en Scène," responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing the environment for various routines and events. Additionally, you will act as a "Life Partner," assisting residents with all facets of their daily lives from morning to night. This role requires excellent documentation of resident care and changes in condition, as well as assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
