FT Membership Sales Associate
About The Position
Perspire is hiring a Membership Sales Associate to work at its Flatiron and Williamsburg wellness studios in New York City. The associate serves as an expert on studio services, amenities, and programs, builds relationships with prospective and current members, and helps guests get the most from their Perspire experience. The role includes five shifts per week, each 6–8 hours, according to a monthly schedule that may include weekday evenings and weekends. Compensation starts at $19 per hour, paid every two weeks, plus uncapped commissions on package and membership sales. The posting describes a potential raise to $20 per hour after 90 days, subject to attendance, professionalism, policy compliance, training completion, and sales performance criteria.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in customer-facing roles.
- Open availability to work consistently 5 days per week.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Confidence, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.
- A competitive, goal-oriented nature and drive to achieve and exceed sales goals.
- A consistently positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to take on any task.

Responsibilities
- Greet and engage studio guests enthusiastically and connect with them on a personal level.
- Conduct studio tours and educate guests about sauna and contrast therapy and the benefits of regular sauna use.
- Sell memberships, packages, and retail products in a commission-based environment and work toward monthly sales goals.
- Make proactive, high-energy phone calls to guests during each shift.
- Attend nearby community outreach events to promote the studio and sign up new guests.
- Manage bookings, check-ins and check-outs, membership changes, product inventory, and inbound communications at the front desk.
- Complete daily cleaning duties.
