Membership Sale Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Membership Sale Associate promotes and sells BJ’s membership programs, including acquiring new members, retaining existing members, renewing and upgrading memberships, and cross-selling loyalty programs and the co-branded credit card. The role also provides member service for membership and credit card questions, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and order pickups, including BOPIC orders. Associates resolve member concerns or escalate them when appropriate, follow club policies and procedures, and may work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. The position involves frequent stationary work on hard surfaces in a comfortable indoor environment, with occasional bending, handling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and lifting. It may include lifting objects up to 50 pounds and moving heavier or awkward objects with assistance.
Requirements
- Prior frontline or customer service experience, or previous sales experience, preferred.
- Results-driven, with proven success in achieving goals.
- Basic math skills preferred.
- Computer proficiency preferred.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance.

Responsibilities
- Promote BJ’s value proposition for membership acquisition, retention, member perks, and the member experience.
- Pitch membership programs in accordance with company policies and practices, and sell membership products to potential new and existing members.
- Work toward business-established benchmarks and results.
- Understand BJ’s membership options and co-branded credit card.
- Serve as a first point of contact for membership and credit card applications, general questions, issues, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
- Follow tax-exempt and resale membership retention policies and procedures, including monitoring renewals and tax-exempt or resale status.
- Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to the PIC or MOD when necessary.
- Assist members with Buy Online and Pick Up In Club orders.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Provide excellent and efficient member service and support a safe, positive, and inclusive member and team environment.
