About The Position

The Membership Sale Associate promotes and sells BJ’s membership programs, supporting membership acquisition, renewals, upgrades, and cross-selling. The role also provides member services related to credit card applications, questions, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and order pickups. Associates deliver efficient, courteous service, resolve member concerns, and follow club policies and procedures. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

• Previous sales experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Promote BJ’s value proposition, membership acquisition, retention, perks, and member experience.
• Pitch membership programs and sell memberships to potential new and existing members in accordance with company policies and practices.
• Work toward membership sales goals and business-established benchmarks.
• Understand BJ’s membership options and co-brand credit card.
• Serve as a first point of contact for membership matters, credit card applications, general questions, issues, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
• Follow tax-exempt and resale membership policies and processes, including monitoring renewals and tax-exempt/resale status.
• Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly; escalate issues to the PIC or MOD when needed.
• Assist members with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support their application and compliance.
• Work in other departments and perform other duties as assigned.
• Deliver service excellence, help maintain a safe and positive environment, and uphold daily GOLD Member and club standards.
• Understand how to access and read department production or financial performance reporting and how consistent execution affects the business.
