Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant account management/coordination experience
  • One year of CRM experience; or combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency is Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent project management skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and customer-service orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual who is also a team player
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with trade associations, nonprofits, membership or related organizations is highly desirable
  • Two years of CRM experience
  • Salesforce experience
  • Knowledge of, experience in, and/or interest in the international development and humanitarian sector
  • Experience in developing and delivering educational content for senior executives
  • Familiarity with current trends and issues in the NGO sector

Responsibilities

  • Respond to general inquiries in membership mailbox.
  • Conduct background research on prospective Members and prepare briefing documents for the Membership and Public Engagement team and senior leadership as needed.
  • Participate in discovery calls with prospective Members and coordinate timely follow-up.
  • Support the Membership and Public Engagement team and Director of Communications in executing a large-scale digital marketing campaign to expand the membership base.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Membership to evaluate membership applications and prepare application materials for review by the InterAction Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the annual collection of financial data to support the creation and distribution of membership dues invoices.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new Members and withdrawal process for departing Members.
  • Support orientation session for new Members and incoming Chief Executive Officers.
  • Oversee the administration of InterAction’s Member Portal to ensure that content is relevant and timely.
  • Provide administrative support to the Combining Grassroots Forces Working Group.
  • Regularly update InterAction’s distribution lists to ensure Member contacts receive relevant information.
  • Update organizational records and contact information in the CRM to ensure that records are up to date.
  • Upload all meeting and event attendance reports to Salesforce.
  • Create Member engagement reports in Salesforce to support strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as the lead event planner for the annual CEO Summit.
  • Provide planning and on-site support for InterAction’s annual conference, Forum.
  • Plan and execute a bimonthly workshop as part of InterAction’s ConnectAid series.
  • Support biweekly CEO Community Update Calls in coordination with the Administrative and HR Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Communications to support external newsletter production.
  • Submit invoices and expenses on behalf of the Membership and Public Engagement team.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Membership and Public Engagement team as needed.
