Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 3 years of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a member/customer service-related role required.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
  • Excellent organizational, member engagement, staff development, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience working with diverse populations preferred.
  • High energy, positive, "can do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail and a high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful.
  • ASHI Basic Life Support (ASHI CPR Pro), First Aid certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of related experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and fostering a strong atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation among staff.
  • Recruit, interview and hire staff, subject to the approval of the Executive Director.
  • Maintain a constant focus on member service as a top priority of the branch, creating a member focused culture.
  • Responsible for the daily supervision, leadership and scheduling of member service and playhouse staff.
  • May be responsible for monthly schedule and staff payroll.
  • Assist with promoting program awareness through publications, marketing materials and member promotions.
  • Participate in facility and community events.
  • Meet monthly and annual membership sales goals.
  • Organize membership events.
  • Implement strategies that support recruitment and retention of members.
  • Build and foster relationships with community.
  • Assist with employee and member wellness activities.
  • Responsible for attendance at all required meetings and YMCA activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
