About The Position

Discovery Land Company's Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club, located near Austin, TX, is seeking a Member Services associate to join their team. This department serves as the primary point of contact for members and guests, aiming to provide exceptional experiences, communication, and lasting memories. The Member Services Coordinator will be instrumental in greeting members, managing reservations, and ensuring overall member satisfaction, contributing to the unique Discovery Land Company experience for both members and employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of prior hospitality experience, customer service, and telephone experience.
  • Must possess an outgoing and well-spoken personality with the ability to clearly interact verbally with members and guests.
  • Must be responsible, dependable, outgoing, friendly, patient, and courteous with members/guests and co-workers.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, and Email.
  • Willingness to learn new computer programs utilized by the Club.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages are preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

  • College degree in hospitality, communications/marketing, or public relations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet members/guests upon arrival and departure by name.
  • Create and maintain member profiles and preferences.
  • Develop itineraries, coordinate transportation, reservations, and activities for members, guests, and visitors, liaising with appropriate departments or vendors.
  • Compile and update a list of trusted local area vendors, stores, and services for member/guest recommendations.
  • Answer incoming Club phone calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Generate reports for specific departments, including a daily onsite activity report and a 10-day forecast of visits and special requests.
  • Create and update written communication and visual guides such as calendars, amenity lists, staff listings, bios, and photos.
  • Design invitations or flyers for Club events to be distributed to membership.
  • Support the planning and promotion of Club events.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to ensure exceptional experiences for prospects/visitors.
  • Work with the General Manager and Public Relations team to foster positive experiences, including photography.
  • Provide assistance in the golf retail shop as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
