About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is responsible for creating and maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that makes Planet Fitness unique. The role provides opportunities for personal development, leadership, organization, and career growth while helping improve members’ lives. Responsibilities include providing an exceptional customer experience, supporting members and prospective members, completing front-desk activities, promoting memberships and tanning lotions, and maintaining assigned cleaning areas. The position is described as weekend only. One World Fitness emphasizes promoting from within and cultivating a Judgement Free Zone.

Requirements

Customer service background preferred.
Basic computer proficiency.
A passion for fitness and health.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Sales experience.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers and exceed member expectations.
Strong listening skills and the ability to empathize and solve problems.
Demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide an exceptional customer experience.
Enforce the Judgement Free Zone and remain courteous and welcoming.
Take prospective members on tours.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system and sign up new members.
Help members download the PF Mobile App.
Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating to an Assistant Manager or Manager when needed.
Complete assigned cleaning areas.
Promote sales of tanning lotions and memberships.
Create connections with the community.
