Member Services Representative Weekend
About The Position
Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group, is hiring a Member Services Representative to help create a positive member experience through excellent customer service and facility cleanliness. The role includes checking members into the system, touring prospective members and helping them sign up, processing account updates, responding to member questions and concerns, and cleaning all areas of the facility. Concerns should be escalated to an Assistant Manager or Manager when needed. Team Players are expected to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers, maintain punctuality and reliability, and follow appropriate behavior and language standards. The position involves standing and walking throughout the shift, talking in person or by phone, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally encountering commercial cleaning products. The description emphasizes safety and cleaning protocols, including masks and touchless check-in practices.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to continually stand and walk during the shift and talk in person or on the phone during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during the shift.

Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
- Check members into the system.
- Tour prospective members and assist them with the new account sign-up process.
- Facilitate needed updates to members' accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating them to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Perform detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility.
- Follow the stated safety and cleaning protocols, including mask requirements and safe-distance practices.
