About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) helps create and maintain Planet Fitness’s welcoming, “Judgement Free Zone” atmosphere. The role provides opportunities to develop customer service, sales, organizational, and leadership skills, with potential for career growth and promotion from within. The position is weekend only and focuses on delivering an exceptional experience to members, prospective members, and guests while supporting front-desk operations and club upkeep.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to empathize and solve problems.
• Demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift.
• Ability to talk continually in person or on the club phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service background preferred.
• Experience in sales.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Help enforce the Judgement Free Zone and maintain a courteous, upbeat atmosphere.
• Take prospective members on tours.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
• Check members into the system and sign up new members.
• Help members download the PF Mobile App.
• Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager when needed.
• Complete assigned cleaning areas.
• Promote sales of tanning lotions and memberships.
• Build connections with the community.
