About The Position

The Member Services Representative Sub provides flexible, on-call shift coverage and added support to a Planet Fitness club team. The role focuses on creating a positive member experience through customer service and facility cleanliness. Duties include checking members into the system, giving prospective members tours and helping them sign up, updating member accounts, responding to questions and concerns, and escalating issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager when needed. The representative also performs detailed cleaning throughout the facility. Team members are required to follow the company’s safety and cleaning protocols, including wearing masks while in the club.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand and walk continually during a shift.
• Able to talk continually in person or on the phone during a shift.
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during a shift.
• Must wear a mask at all times while in the club.

Responsibilities

• Be on call to assist with shift coverage as needed.
• Check members into the system.
• Give prospective members tours and assist with the new-account sign-up process.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Perform detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility.
• Follow the club’s safety and cleaning protocols.
