Member Services Representative
About The Position
Fitness Growth Capital (FGC) is seeking a high-energy, positive, and passionate Member Services Representative to help create a welcoming, inclusive club environment. The role combines customer service and membership sales in a fitness club featuring equipment, group fitness classes, and amenities such as HydroMassage, tanning, and recovery spaces. FGC describes its culture as supportive and inclusive, with coaching, team support, and opportunities for career growth. The representative greets and checks in members and guests, responds to messages and calls, communicates events, facilitates member requests and payments, sells memberships and retail products, schedules services, and helps maintain an organized work area. The role also includes opening and closing duties, attending meetings and training, and following company policies and delegated directions from club management.
Requirements
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient reading and writing skills.
- Computer skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Sell memberships.
- Greet members and guests warmly and wish them well as they exit the club.
- Check in members and guests according to company procedures.
- Facilitate messages in club software during member check-in.
- Answer phones in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner.
- Communicate special events to members and guests.
- Maintain an atmosphere that makes members feel welcome.
- Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager.
- Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
- Sell retail products.
- Schedule member services, including tanning.
- Facilitate payment for member services according to company procedures.
- Know the club facility, services, and schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with projects delegated by club management.
- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Follow the policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
- Attend monthly or weekly department meetings and employee training meetings.
