About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a motivated, part-time Member Services Representative to provide customer service to members, prospective members, and guests and help create an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience. The role includes front-desk and membership support, responding to questions, processing purchases, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the club. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in an emergency.
Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods and frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand motions.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during a shift.
Ability to see and hear within normal ranges, with or without correction.

Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet members and guests and provide welcoming, professional customer service.
Answer phones and assist callers with questions.
Check in members, give tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
Use the POS system to assist with membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment questions.
Keep the front desk and lobby clean and orderly.
Clean and maintain the facility, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
Clean exercise equipment and tanning beds.
Clean and stock restrooms and wet areas.
Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required time frames and be able to administer CPR/AED in a medical emergency.
