About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a motivated, part-time Member Services Representative to provide a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests and help ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience. This position is for weekend and evening hours. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply. The role includes welcoming and assisting members and guests, handling front-desk and point-of-sale transactions, responding to questions, and maintaining a clean and orderly club. The representative must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required time frames and be physically able to administer CPR/AED in an emergency. Overnight-position applicants must submit to a seven-year criminal background check within the first week of hire; continued employment depends on a satisfactory result. This role offers the opportunity to support members’ fitness goals and contribute to a welcoming club environment. Employees at franchise locations are employed by the franchisee, not PFHQ; each franchisee is responsible for its employment practices and legal compliance.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required time frames.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including prolonged walking and standing; frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and repetitive hand motions; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of up to 50 pounds; and continuous talking in person or by phone during a shift.
Ability to see and hear within the normal range, with or without correction.

Responsibilities

Greet members and guests, provide exceptional customer service, and help them feel comfortable and welcome.
Answer phone calls in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members in, tour and sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
Use the point-of-sale system to assist with membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment questions.
Keep the front desk and lobby clean and orderly.
Perform regular facility cleaning and upkeep, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
Clean exercise equipment and tanning beds regularly.
Clean and stock restrooms and wet areas regularly.
Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required time frames and maintain the physical ability to administer CPR/AED in an emergency.
