About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, responds to questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club's neatness and cleanliness. The position may require working independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Basic computer proficiency.
A passion for fitness and health.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.

Nice To Haves

Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
