About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role involves front-desk service, member account support, answering questions, and helping maintain a neat and clean club. The position is part-time and pays $12.50–$13.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 16 years old.
Basic computer proficiency.
Upbeat and positive attitude; punctuality and reliability are required.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with members and co-workers and exceed member expectations.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate diplomacy and appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
Continual standing and walking, and continual in-person or telephone communication during shifts.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during a shift; training and protective equipment are provided.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, signing up new members, and taking prospective members on tours.
Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
