Member Service Representative (English/Spanish Speaking Preferred)
About The Position
The Member Service Representative supports credit union members by opening new accounts, providing guidance on lending opportunities, and recommending credit union products and services that address members’ financial needs. The role processes financial transactions accurately and efficiently, maintains member records, and takes ownership of each branch interaction to provide the best possible Deseret First experience. The representative also helps grow branch business through member referrals, community involvement, and increasing members’ use of Deseret First products and services. Other duties may be assigned. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 8:45 a.m.–2:15 p.m. English/Spanish speaking is preferred. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience working with the general public.
- Energetic, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Passion for delivering an exceptional member experience.
- Empathy and proactivity.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
- Aptitude for discussing and recommending financial products and solutions.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Microsoft Office Suite skills and strong ability to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities
- Open new accounts and provide support and guidance with lending opportunities.
- Educate members about and propose credit union products and services that address their financial needs.
- Accurately and efficiently process members’ financial transactions, including transferring money to member accounts and posting transactions.
- Maintain member records.
- Own the member experience in the branch during each interaction to provide the best possible Deseret First experience.
- Build branch business through member referrals, community involvement, and increasing members’ use of Deseret First products and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
